Santa Monica Wedding at the Victorian: Amber-Morning + Tom

I wanted to share a fun, quaint wedding with you today. Tom and Amber-Morning were married at the Victorian, on Main Street in Santa Monica.

This will be the first of a series of weddings that I will share with you that were shot by my talented and charming associate photographer, Katie Vowels.  That's right folks, Annie McElwain Photography has officially expanded and I am so honored and proud to have Katie on board.  She's been shooting with me since about the time I first started and I think our styles blend together seemlessly.  If you'd like more information on the way associate packages work, feel free to email me directly.

Now, back to Amber-Morning and Tom.  Katie says "Amber-Morning and Tom were so wonderfully relaxed on their wedding day. They seemed to take in every moment and even though Amber-Morning warned me that they were both shy, their comfort around each other made shooting their wedding so easy and such a joy!" How sweet is this "first look"?

From the few times that I met Amber-Morning and Tom, they are such kind people. They are so loving and personable-- they are simply so... likeable!

The Victorian is a perfectly quaint venue.

 





Congrats to Tom and Amber-Morning-- I believe good things happen to good people-- so I'm betting you both have a happy life ahead. 

 

 

 

A Sonoma Vineyard Wedding: Ellinor + Tim

I have been so fortunate with having the most beautiful clients-- inside and out-- and Ellinor and Tim are no exception.

Their wedding, at Cornerstone in Sonoma, was truly a delight to capture.  It may have been the elegant, yet organic design. It may have been the smell of delicious farm to table food. It may have been how thoughtful (and in love) the bride and groom were.  More than likely it was a combination of all these things plus the seamless teamwork of vendors (especially my good friends at Downey Street Events) that made this day truly special.
The ceremony site is unique-- even for Napa. They were married on the vineyard, close enough to pick the grapes if they wanted.  Ellinor's mom officiated the beautiful ceremony.

The flowers were absolutely stunning.  Once they decided their color pallette, Baylor of Lila B Designs did an absolutely superb job on the creating their vision for the flowers.  And a family member made the soaps to give as their favors. Ellinor was kind enough to mail me a couple after the wedding (lucky me!)The venue had so many locations to shoot in, I was amost overwhelmed. We had fun walking through the grounds finding fun places to shoot.

Ellie Snow created the beautiful paper goods.

 

The reception had all of my favorite things-- friends, family, delicious food and lots of wine.
